Chris Evans Pitches a Captain America & Human Torch Spinoff to Disney/Fox
He was joking. But do it. Do it the second the sale happens.
Before Chris Evans played Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he played Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in 20th Century Fox's 2005 "Fantastic Four" movie.
Evans recently tweeted a link to a new CNBC story claiming Disney and Fox are closing in on deal for Disney to buy Fox's studio and TV production assets. With that tweet he also suggested a superhero crossover buddy movie:
So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spin-off? I'm thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap. https://t.co/3KRPZOVzq2

This is the top reply, and it speaks for most of us:

If there's any way we can add a Deadpool/Iron Man crossover to list of options, that would be great, too.
Ryan Reynolds is on the Fox side of things as Deadpool, and he too tweeted a link to the same story, with his own reaction:
Time to uncork that explosive sexual tension between Deadpool and Mickey Mouse. https://t.co/iUEXofWpRu

Reynolds previously tweeted concern that Disney might want the R-rated character to watch his "language" (as Cap would put it). But we'll see.
