'Child's Play' Reboot Shares First Photo of Chucky
Yes, there's a "Child's Play" remake in the works, starring Aubrey Plaza.
This is what mankind deserves for messing up the planet. We had our chance. Accept the punishment.
The "contemporary version of the iconic horror classic" just started filming in Vancouver.
Lars Klevberg ("Polaroid") is directing, from a script by Tyler Burton Smith, based on the original 1988 movie.
"Child's Play" follows a mother (Plaza) who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are producing, hot off the success of "It," which became the highest grossing horror film of all time.
The original "Child's Play" had a budget of $9 million and made $44.2 million in 1988, launching a seven-film franchise following Chucky.
MGM and Orion Pictures just shared the first look at new Chucky:
Maybe they were inspired by the shadowy first look at the new Pennywise from "It."
There's no release date for the "Child's Play" reboot at this point.
