'Charmed' Set for Full Season After CW Orders More Episodes
The Charmed Ones still have the magic: There's more of The CW's "Charmed" reboot on the way.
Four episodes in to the original 13-episode order, the network decided to give the show a full season. "Charmed" is now set for 22 episodes, as Variety reports, meaning nine episodes have been added. That means more witchy adventures.
The series stars Madeleine Mantock (Macy), Melonie Diaz (Mel), and Sarah Jeffrey (Maggie) as three sisters with powers. Like in the original series, they work together and use the "Power of Three" to vanquish demons. So far, the show has drawn an average of 2.7 million viewers per episode in the Live+7 period, per Variety, and it's doing particularly well among adults 18-49.
Although there initially was backlash to the idea of a "Charmed" reboot, the numbers are apparently good enough to justify added episodes. It's one of three new fall series that will now get a full season; "All American" and "Legacies" also got back nine orders.
"Charmed" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
