Charlize Theron is one of the greatest actors of her generation.

From "Monster" to "Tully" to "Atomic Blonde," she's stolen scenes, transformed herself, and proved she can take on any genre. You might remember her in standouts like "Mad Max: Fury Road," but there are a handful of films that likely slipped your mind.

Here are seven Charlize Theron flicks you (probably) forgot were Charlize Theron flicks:

1. 'The Devil's Advocate' (1997)

A gem only the '90s could produce , this supernatural/horror/law drama (it'a a thing!) had Charlize doing her best southern-attorney's-wife-tortured-by-satanic-visions act (also a thing!). It's a complex and disturbing role, but Charlize somehow pulls it off with believable ease.

2. 'Mighty Joe Young' (1998)

Before she was an Oscar winner, Theron starred in the somewhat forgettable Disney action adventure remake "Mighty Joe Young."

3. 'That Thing You Do!' (1996)

Young Charlize portrayed Tina Powers, girlfriend to  '60s boy band pop rocker Guy Patterson of the fictional The Oneders, in Tom Hanks' frothy throwback of a directorial debut.

4. 'Celebrity' (1998)

Charlize played "Supermodel" in Woody Allen's 1998 movie, starring Kenneth Branagh, about a celebrity journalist's Hollywood escapades. Even with a small and seemingly one-dimensional part, she made it her all. Charlize would re-team with Allen for 2001's "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion."

5. 'Trapped' (2002)

Nope, sorry -- I don't really recall this early 2000s kidnapping thriller that also stars Courtney Love and Dakota Fanning.

6. '2 Days in the Valley' (1996)

Charlize's breakout role, as Helga, is the only thing truly memorable from this 1996 ensemble crime drama/"Pulp Fiction" wannabe. "I looked at her and said to myself, ‘This is a movie star,'" director John Herzfeld explained of casting Theron at a CineFamily screening in 2016, via WWD.

"I had been in L.A. for about 10 months. I really didn’t know where my life was going to go. I was so intrigued by this aspect of storytelling, even though I wasn’t crystal clear about what it was. I think my naivety and stupidity kind of helped me in a weird way. And John was crazy enough to give me the job," Theron added of her gratitude for the gig.

7. 'Trial and Error' (1997)

Michael Richards (alongside Jeff Daniels) headlined this goofy 1997 comedy about an actor who pretends to be a lawyer. Charlize Theron is a sweet waitress who catches the eye of Daniels' character.
