'Charlie's Angels' Reboot Moves to November 2019, Takes Old 'Wonder Woman 1984' Slot
Three butt-kicking badass women are taking the place of one. The "Charlie's Angels" reboot is moving its release date — to take over the one just vacated by "Wonder Woman 1984."
"Charlie's Angels" will open on November 1, 2019, moving back five weeks from its original release date. It also happens to be the same weekend that the 2000 movie starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu opened.
"Wonder Woman 1984" moved to summer 2020 due to "changing landscapes" (whatever that may mean). That frees up November 1 for "Charlie's Angels," which will face "Kingsman 3," the Woody Harrelson action drama "Midway," and the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie
The new "Charlie's Angels" stars Kristen Stewart, "Power Rangers" actress Naomi Scott, and newcomer Ella Balinska as the crimefighting trio. Since the two previous films, the Townsend Agency has grown considerably and gone global, providing security and intelligence services to a variety of private clients with offices and highly trained teams worldwide.
