Prepare to look at the flowers, Negan!

Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), their badass weapons, and Pookie's badass bike are back in action for "The Walking Dead" Season 8.

Season 7 briefly reunited the characters when Daryl went to the Kingdom and lied to spare Carol's feelings, telling her everyone was still alive instead of revealing the deaths of Glenn and Abraham. Carol later learned the truth, and the season ended with the Kingdom joining the fight, with Shiva literally leaping in to save the day.

Season 8 will pick up from the war declared between Negan's The Saviors and Rick Grimes' Alexandria, plus Hilltop and the Kingdom. Entertainment Weekly got AMC's first official photo from the new season, showing Caryl together outside of a warehouse:

Scott M. Gimple told EW there will be more reunions and first-time meetings in Season 8 -- kind of like what "Game of Thrones" is doing in Season 7, but never mind.

We're anticipating the official Season 8 trailer to drop during TWD's Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 21. Season 8 will premiere in October on AMC, and the exact date may be announced next week as well.
