'Can't Buy Me Love' Star Amanda Peterson Dies at 43
Amanda Peterson, best known for her role in the '80s romantic comedy "Can't Buy Me Love," died on July 6 at the age of 43.
TMZ confirmed the news of her death, reporting that she passed away at her home in Greeley, CO.
After hitting teen idol status with her co-star Patrick Dempsey, Peterson left the entertainment industry in 1994 and moved back to reside in her hometown.
In addition to "Love," Peterson also appeared in the 1985 sci-fi film "Explorers," opposite Ethan Hawke and the late River Phoenix.
