Bryan Singer's 'X-Men' TV Pilot Casts Jamie Chung as Blink
Make way, "Legion" — Fox's "X-Men" TV pilot is taking shape, with Jamie Chung joining the cast as Blink, a mutant with the power to teleport.
The untitled pilot, written by "Burn Notice" creator Matt Nix and to be directed by "X-Men" veteran Bryan Singer, follows two ordinary parents who take their mutant kids on the run from a hostile government and join forces with an underground network of mutants. Nix has said that the TV series will connect to the movies.
Chung will play Blink, aka Clarice Fong, "a sarcastic and lively tomboy" whose "naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life." Blink had a small role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," where she was played by Chinese actress Fan Bingbing.
Chung, who has appeared on "Once Upon a Time," "Gotham," and "Believe," will star alongside Blair Redford ("Switched at Birth"), who plays underground leader Sam.
