Bow Down to the Trailer for 'Homecoming,' the Beyoncé Documentary
Time to get in formation, Beyhive.
Netflix dropped the trailer for "Homecoming," a documentary about Beyoncé's 2018 Coachella performance. The film premieres April 17, marking the one-year anniversary of the show.
The doc provides an "an intimate, in-depth look" at the performance and "reveals the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement."
The Coachella show was live-streamed and included a Destiny’s Child reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
The trailer shows footage of the singer and team of dancers, musicians, and crew members preparing for the show. There are also snippets of Beyoncé with her three children.
The documentary also highlights the groundbreaking nature of the performance. At the time, Beyoncé said, "Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline."
The trailer features the voice of Maya Angelou saying, "What I really want to do is be a representative of my race – the human race."
