Best of Late Night TV: Adam Sandler's Awesome Letterman Ode, Anna Kendrick's Egg Russian Roulette
If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
David Letterman is ending his show next week, May 20, so he has major guest after major guest lined up every night. Last week, President Obama stopped by, and on Tuesday night, former President Bill Clinton joined Dave on "Late Show." Clinton talked about his possible return to the White House with Hillary as POTUS, and how his perspective has changed as Grandpa to little Charlotte, who is 7.5 months old.Adam Sandler was also on "Late Show" and he performed a sweet, funny and beautiful tribute to Dave. (Love the "blow" line re: the Jimmys.) This is what Sandler really does best. "Pitch Perfect 2" star Anna Kendrick was on "The Tonight Show" and she played Jimmy Fallon's classic "Egg Russian Roulette." She was the first woman to do the game, which is a bit odd, but she and Jimmy were both really nervous about getting the yolk on their heads. Terry Crews was also on Fallon's show and he shared the story of his worst summer job, which started out as his best job: James Corden also had a great night on "The Late Late Show," including ... was that a cameo from Justin Bieber on drums at the end? Susan Sarandon, Brooklyn Decker, and Tori Kelly were all guests on "The Late Late Show." Susan Sarandon talked about her first grandmother's day this year, and she also discussed the reality of vampires. And now you must watch these three alternate endings of "Thelma & Louise" with James and Susan showing what *could* have happened after that car launch: SNL's Leslie Jones was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and she discussed her favorite SNL moments, basketball, riding a horse for the first time, Jim Carrey's "sexy" beard, her obsession with James Spader (love it), and how she handles Twitter haters. Basically, she'll put you on blast. Reese Witherspoon was on "Conan" and they shared some of her old child modeling photos. She was intense! As they joked, she may have invented Blue Steel back in 1991. She also discussed her elaborate food Instagrams; she tries to go the extra mile for her son, who will not eat anything. Adam Devine was also on "Conan" and explained why the Coast Guard is now mad at "Workaholics."
