Bachelor Chris Soules Now Has 'Non-Existent' Dating Life, Offers Ben Higgins Advice
One year ago, "The Bachelor" Season 19. He chose "Dancing With the Stars." He just appeared in "Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition" but he took some time to talk to Cupid's Pulse about his current dating life, and his advice for the 2016 Bachelor, Ben Higgins.
"My dating life is relatively non-existent," Chris told Cupid's Pulse, adding, "After dating 30 some-odd women and being engaged and going through that whole process, it's been nice to just kind of get back to normal. Eventually, I'll get back in the dating ring." He added that he and his ex still keep in touch and are "good friends."
He said there are more women interested in dating him now that he's "out there," but his overall approach to dating hasn't changed. "It's still just about finding the right person, someone who appreciates the farming life and also the finer things in life." (Side note: How often is he even farming, with all his TV time in the past year, from "The Bachelorette" to "The Bachelor," "DWTS," and now this cooking show?)
Chris also shared some advice for new Bachelor Ben Higgins, whom he has met:
He deserves it. He's a stand-up guy, and he's what the show is all about, I think. He's truly trying to find somebody, so hopefully, that happens for him. ... The main advice that I gave him was to make sure you take each relationship that you have with those girls very seriously and make sure they feel as comfortable as possible... In order to have a real relationship develop, those girls need to feel like they're the only ones involved in the relationship."
That's pretty good advice, although maybe Chris should really tell Ben everything that went wrong with Whitney so Ben knows what not to do. (Like, maybe stay away from DWTS and just focus on your fiancée?) Ben is currently shooting his season and our fingers are crossed for a happy ending ... that stays happy even after a few months. We'll watch his journey play out starting in early January 2016 on ABC.
