'A Wrinkle in Time': First Teaser Brings Us to New Dimensions
If only we could wrinkle time to get to 2018 faster.
Disney is bringing Madeleine L'Engle's beloved book "A Wrinkle in Time" to screen, and the studio unveiled the first teaser at D23 on Saturday. Fortunately, we can say that nothing we have seen so far has forced us to lower our extremely high expectations. This is a film directed by Ava DuVernay and with a cast that includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Mindy Kaling, and more, so our hopes are currently way up there.
The trailer highlights the central conflict: Dr. Alex Murry (Pine) is lost to his family. However, when his kids Meg (Storm Reid) and Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) learn they can help, they -- along with new friend Calvin (Levi Miller) -- embark on a journey across dimensions of time and space to try and save him. If it sounds trippy, that is because it is, and the teaser reflects that.

"A Wrinkle in Time" hits theaters on March 9, 2018.
