2019 SAG Awards: Here's the List of Nominations
The Screen Actors Guild announced nominations for the 25th Annual SAG Awards on Wednesday morning.
For the top prize of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, Marvel's superhero mega-hit "Black Panther" will vie against romantic comedy darling “Crazy Rich Asians,” the romantic drama remake “A Star Is Born,” the Freddy Mercury biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody," and Spike Lee's “BlacKkKlansman.”
Notably absent from that list is "The Favourite," which did land nominations for its three female stars: Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone.
Awkwafina ("Crazy Rich Asians," "Ocean’s Eight") and Laverne Cox ("Orange Is the New Black") read the list of nominees, which contained some surprises in both the film and television categories.
The SAG Awards will air January 27 at 8 p.m. on TNT and TBS.
