Cheol-ho is a spinal cord injury patient who became paralyzed below the neck due to a sudden accident.His only guardian was his father, Seong-gyu, until he died in cancer. Seong-gyu, a wealthy man, foresaw that leaving his son with a large inheritance and no family would make him vulnerable to exploitation by unscrupulous individuals seeking money. To protect Cheol-ho, Seong-gyu legally acknowledged Ji-eun as his daughter after thirty years of estrangement. Upon gaining legal recognition as his daughter, Ji-eun discovers that she has also been appointed as Cheol-ho’s guardian.
