Rebel Ridge Review
‘Rebel Ridge’ sees Jeremy Saulnier tackle the one-man army movie with style. Aaron Pierre shines and Don Johnson is also great as a corrupt lawman in this battle of wills –– and guns, which marks a thematic shift for the director. On Netflix on September 6th, ‘Rebel Ridge’ is the latest thriller from writer/director Jeremy Saulnier and focuses on a man with a particular set of skills who takes on some dangerous people with a righteous cause.
It’s a genre that has been tackled before, but Saulnier brings his own spin to it, with crackling dialogue and a superb central performance from ‘The Underground Railroad’s Aaron Pierre, backed by sterling support from Don Johnson.
