High School Teacher Collection
"High School Teacher" (高校教師) trilogy from Nikkatsu. This is a possible reboot series of Nikkatsu's "Female Teacher." That series ended with a Shōgorō Nishimura-directed entry in 1983 - and he directed the first "High School Teacher" in 1985 ("Maturing"). Whereas "High School Teacher: Maturing" was an in-house Nikkatsu production, the next two entries of this trilogy featured in-house Nikkatsu directors (Fumihiko Kato, Isao Hayashi) being lent out to Japan (or Nippon) Top Art - but still bought/distributed by Nikkatsu for triple-bills. Female Teacher vs. High School Teacher is comparable to Apartment Wife vs. New Apartment Wife. All three "High School Teacher" films focus on female teachers mostly outside of the classroom.
