Arman suffers a severe wound from the second military clash in December 1948 and is nursed by the village head and his daughter Srihati When Indonesia gains full sovereignty in 1950 he returns to Jakarta Then Arman is carried away by the big city life He meets Martini and later on marries the modern girl When Srihati goes to the city to find him she is disappointed But later she meets Kasim At that time Arman is having gambling problems and he is sent to prison due to embezzlement After he finishes his prison sentence he tries to find Srihati at the village but she is already married to Kasim So Arman becomes the dust of revolution blown by the wind to nothingness
