Susumu Hirasawa Biography
Susumu Hirasawa (born April 2, 1954) is a Japanese Music Composer, well known internationally for his work on Berserk (1997) and several of Satoshi Kon's anime. Susumu Hirasawa started to make music in elementary school, picking up the Electric Guitar. He got involved with progressive rock band, Mandrake, in 1973. Mandrake was later rebranded to P-Model to fit in with music trends in Japan at the time.
In Japan, Susumu Hirasawa is recognized mostly for his work in P-Model. Susumu Hirasawa started his solo career in 1989. Manga author Kentaro Miura, a fan of Susumu Hirasawa, requested him to help compose the 1997 Berserk anime.
