Stephen Broughton Lunt Biography
Stephen Broughton Lunt, often credited as Steve Lunt or Steve Broughton, is a songwriter, producer and A&R executive, originally from Birmingham, UK, based in the US since the late '70s. Originally one of the lead vocalists of City Boy, he was sacked while the band was touring the US and remained there, where he became a songwriter, for amongst others Cyndi Lauper, then an A&R executive for Jive Records, where he auditioned Britney Spears and worked with *NSYNC.
After Jive, Lunt joined Atlantic where he launched the career of Straight No Chaser (3), then United For Opportunity.
