Samuel T Weston Biography
Sam is an autistic fantasy writer turned filmmaker. Raised in the woods and prairies of rural Minnesota, weaned on stories like "The Lord of the Rings," "Eragon," and "Avatar: The Last Airbender," and cutting his teeth in Duluth’s arthouse film community, Sam gained a unique perspective on what makes a good fantasy story. He learned early on that his writing style was too visual for books, so he founded Battlemage Films to tell his stories the way they were meant to be told.
"Gleahan and the Knaves of Industry," Sam’s debut film, premiered in 2018 to a packed crowd in Duluth. In 2022, Battlemage Films released the Director’s Cut on The Fantasy Network, where it is now the 9th most-watched movie on the whole site.
