Samar Mohammed Biography
Samar began acting in her hometown of Mosul in 1968, and her first play was Oedipus King. In the early seventies, Samar moved to Baghdad, where her actual artistic career began with dozens of roles in radio and television productions as well as in the theater. She participated in many art festivals in Arab and foreign countries, the last of which was the Algiers Festival, in which she participated with the play The Baghdad Circle of Love.
Her last theatrical participation was in the play Masoud's Dream, while her last role on TV was in the series The Lion of Babel. She also participated in several children's plays, the most recent of which was the play Worood and the Secret of the Cluster, which was shown at the Children's Festival in Baghdad, and she won the Best Actress Award for her role in this play.
