Rupert Frere Biography
Rupert lives and works in London. After joining the army, he became a British Army photographer and did three tours in Afghanistan. Emotion is the most important ingredient of his photography, and he often experiments with unusual angles in the attempt to catch the point of view of his army colleagues. He loves snapping people because he thinks that they’re the most fascinating subjects.
Though he takes photos in very risky situations, the last time he was frightened was when he was called to photograph her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and she told him she thought the photos were too dark. Passionate, fun and energetic, he is coming to Master of Photography to show the world what he’s capable of when armed with a camera.
