Phoebe Mallinson Biography
Phoebe is from Bradford and started playing cornet at the age of eight before moving to flugelhorn when she was ten. In 2017, she was lucky enough to gain a place at Chetham’s School of Music, studying with Tracey Redfern, David Chatterton and, more recently, Murray Grieg. Chetham’s has given her the opportunity to play trumpet in orchestras, jazz ensembles and other chamber groups as well as many solo performance opportunities.
Phoebe is the current Principal flugelhorn of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and after her GCSE’s and A levels, she hopes to join one of the leading conservatoires to further her studies in music performance.
