Minh Châu Biography
Minh Châu (born 1956 in Thai Nguyen province), full name Nguyễn Thị Minh Châu, is a Vietnamese actress. She is one of the few Vietnamese artists to be honored with two Golden Lotus Awards. She was famous in the late 80s for her two roles as Nguyệt in the film "Girl on the River" (Cô gái trên sông) in 1987 and Liên in the movie "Woman playing in the Sand" (Người đàn bà nghịch cát) in 1989.
In addition, Minh Châu also won a Golden Kite Award for Best Actress for her role of Thường in the 2010 film "Provincial Party Secretary" (Bí thư tỉnh ủy). She was awarded the title of People's Artist in 2015.
