Manoochehr Vossoogh Biography
Manoochehr Vossoogh, whose real name is Abbas Rezaei Vossogh, was an established cinema actor during Iran's Pahlavi era. He began his acting career in high school, before being scouted to work live theater for Iranian national television. He became a fixed actor for Pars Film Studio. A few months before the Iranian Revolution in 1979, Manoochehr went to London for a play but came back to his work and job as an actor being banned.
He secretly moved back to London through the Pakistani border where he did numerous satire peices on the Islamic Republic. He was married to Lida Daneshvar. On March 8th, 2022, he died while fighting cancer in London.
