Maeda Nazhat Biography
raqi singer Ma'ida Nazahat, born in 1937, showcased her talent from childhood. She became renowned after succeeding in a 1950 radio audition. Collaborating with top composers like Abbas Jameel and Samir Baghdadi, she emerged as one of the first Iraqi artists on Baghdad TV in 1956. Known for her humane and emotional songs, Ma'ida's lyrics became Iraqi classics over half a century.
She briefly left singing but returned, leaving a lasting impact. Ma'ida retired in the late 1980s, living in Amman, Jordan, until her passing on September 19, 2018, at 75.
