Lia Barcellona Tamborra Biography
Lia is a lyricist, songwriter and performer. At 5, she had to be escorted offstage when she refused to stop singing after the song ended (It was a dance recital). Thus began her love of musical storytelling. Lia has a BFA in theater from NYU Tisch where she focused on creating original and devised work. Writing credits include: Dangersparkle and the Lion(PCTF Best Musical, Music, Actor and Actress), Atlantis! The Final Hours, Polyamory! The Musical, Why Don’t I Have a Girlfriend? (PCTF Best Music, Lyrics), Hypatia and the Heathens and d’ILLUSION: The Houdini Musical.
She has also written and taught for museums and institutions at home and abroad, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
