Jarod Miller Biography
Jarod Miller is a young naturalist, zoologist, pet expert, and regular guest lecturer for zoos, universities, and promotional events, having lectured on captive management and wildlife conservation at venues including the White House. He is also the former executive director of the Binghamton Zoo in Binghamton, New York, and was the youngest accredited zoo director in the United States at age 25.
Jarod grew up in suburban western New York where, as a child, he spent most of his time outdoors, always wanting to be closer to nature. Zoos were always his favorite destination, and he could identify every animal that lived at the zoo In 1996, Jarod started his own wildlife production and education company, Wild Encounters, and has since traveled to over 13 countries.
Jarod currently is the host of his own nationally syndicated television series, “Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller”, co-host of "Pet Finder" and reality show host of "America's Greatest Dog". In the past decade, Jarod has made over 100 appearances on national television, as a regular guest on such shows as, “The Today Show”, “Good Morning America”, “The Early Show”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”, “The Rachael Ray Show”, “Live with Regis and Kelly”, “The Tyra Banks Show”, among many others.
