Harry Walters Biography
Harry Walters is a 22 year old Sussex based writer, director, and actor. Since the age of 18, Harry has accumulated a diverse portfolio of sensitive and heartfelt written and directed narrative shorts, as well as acting appearances in feature-length films and shorts. Harry is best known for his portrayal of Jaden in 'Soft', a short which explored toxic masculinity and mental health.
The film earned significant praise in the digital and festival world and has generated a viral following, since amassing almost 150,000 views online. Harry also starred in Channel 4 Random Acts 'Next Week' alongside Mick Ford, a short about a grandson struggling to connect with their grandad with Alzheimer's. Harry starred as the lead role of Jamie in Chris Newberry's latest feature 'Retreat' in 2019, as well as James Crow's 2022 feature 'Nightmare on 34th Street' through Dark Comedy Productions.
In 2018, Harry wrote and directed 'Company of Four', a film that saw four young men preparing for the front lines during World War 1. The short earned significant praise in the digital world. In 2021, Harry wrote 'Toast', a heartwarming story set in lockdown of a friendship between a young man and an elderly neighbour. The film starred EastEnder's and Nuts in May's Roger Sloman, who Harry also acted alongside in the lead role.
The film is set for festival release and online distribution later this year. Harry co-founded production and distribution company Room 18 Films with Benedict Webb, an online platform for independent, narrative-driven work which emphasizes exciting upcoming directors, writers, and producers.
