Gene Stratton-Porter Monroe was born on 22 March 1914 in Wabash, Indiana.She was the granddaughter of Author Gene Stratton-Porter and acted in several film adaptations of her work, including Laddie (1926), The Keeper of the Bees (1925) and Freckles (1928). She died on 16 August 1966 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
