Eli Mathewson Biography
Eli Matthewson is one of the Aotearoa’s most prolific comedians, and was the winner of the Fred Award for Best Show at the 2021 NZ International Comedy Festival. He has been seen on screen in 7 Days, Have You Been Paying Attention, The Project and in 2022 was part of the first ever same-sex couple on Dancing With The Stars NZ. As a stand-up comic he has appeared five NZ Comedy Galas and has received 5 Star Reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He’s performed at the World Buskers Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and, as part of FanFiction Comedy, performed in Glasgow for the New Zealand Team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
