Eik Skaløe Biography
Eik Bjarne Skaløe, born Sørensen, was a Danish musician, singer and poet. He and Stig Møller founded the acid/folk rock group Steppeulvene in 1967. They became a symbol for the Copenhagen hippie movement. Eik Skaløe was found dead at Ferozopore/Firozpur, Northern Punjab, India in the autumn of 1968. His last message was; "For the officials: As I guess you know – this suicide is decided & carried out by myself.
None is to blame, except the cruel person inside me. Forgive me, Eik Skaløe."
