Edward Espe Brown Biography
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Edward Espe Brown is an American Zen teacher and author. He resides in Fairfax, Marin County, California. Ordained as a Zen priest by Shunryu Suzuki, who gave him the name Jusan Kainei ("Longevity Mountain, Peaceful Sea"), Ed Brown has led meditation retreats and classes throughout the United States and in other countries.
He is one of the founders of Greens Restaurant in San Francisco, California.[4] Edward Espe Brown is the subject of the documentary film, How to Cook Your Life, by Doris Dörrie.
