Domee Shi Biography
Domee Shi was born on September 8, 1989 in Chongqing, China. She is known for her work at Pixar, including directing the 2022 film "Turning Red”, and her short film “Bao”, becoming the first woman to direct a short film for the studio. For “Bao”, she won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 91st Academy Awards, and also earned nominations for the 43rd Annie Awards, the International Online Cinema Awards, and the Tribeca Film Festival.
