Djigui Diarra Biography
Djigui Diarra grew up in Grigny, in the Paris suburbs. As a child, he spent his time watching Hong Kong movies with his father. Today, he is inspired by directors such as Ken Loach, Souleymane Cissé, Spike Lee, or John Woo to create his own universe in his films. As an actor, Djigui played in the series Julie Lescaut, Fabrice Gobert's film K.O, and Raoul Peck's The Young Karl Marx.
Djigui has directed three short films, Utopia (France television prize) Na tout pour elle (purchased by TV5 Monde) and recently Malgré eux selected at the Cannes Film Festival.
