Carin Filipčić Biography
Carin Filipčić (born 26 December, 1970) is an Austrian musical actress. With a musical education in Vienna and Prague, the native Viennese gained a foothold on international opera and theatre stages. She also spent years working with Roma ethnic music and gained experience in cabaret and as a voice coach. She was an understudy in the premiere of the musical Mozart!, and was featured in a number of German-language productions of popular musicals, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, and Chicago.
One of her most recent performances was as Grizabella in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats. Filipčić also works as a concert singer and can be heard on numerous CD recordings.
