Cam Johnson Biography
46 year-old Alberta farmer turned gold miner Cam Johnson believes he is destined to strike it rich in the Yukon, and if he reaches his ambitious 1500 ounce gold goal this season that could become a reality. For Cam, mining is a family affair. His wife Jeanine, son-in-law Chase, and three children Jasmine, Ashlyn and Kaleb all work at the mine with him.
Cam’s cheerful, easy-going personality masks a tenacious bulldog quality that kicks in when he’s faced with adversity. His “never quit” mentality is infectious and inspires his family and crew to keep going even in the darkest times. This season, Cam’s epic battle with frozen ground pushes him to the brink more than once, and he turns to his faith to carry him through.
