Allan Powell Biography
Alan Powell (born in 1948, in Manchester, Lancashire) is a drummer who was mainly active during the 1970s. IDuring 1974 he joined Hawkwind as a second drummer, recording two albums, 1975's Warrior on the Edge of Time and 1976's Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music, and contributed to Hawkwind collaborator Michael Moorcock's 1975 album New Worlds Fair. On leaving Hawkwind, he sessioned on Nik Turner's 1978 album Xitintoday.
