Netflix's reboot of "The Baby-Sitters Club" just landed "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone.

The 10-episode half-hour dramedy follows the friendship and babysitting adventures of five best friends — Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill and Dawn Schafer — in Stoneybrook, Conn.

Silverstone play Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the mother of Kristy Thomas and Mark Feuerstein ("Royal Pains") will play Elizabeth's husband and Kristy's stepfather.

The young babysitters have yet to be cast.

"Baby-Sitters Club," based on Ann M. Martin's best-selling book series, was previously a 1-season TV show on HBO in 1990.  The show then ran in syndication on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel.

It was later was adapted as a feature film in 1995, starring Schuyler FiskRachael Leigh Cook, and Larisa Oleynik.

Production on the single-camera series has begun in Vancouver.
