To 'Infinity' and Beyond: Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Compare Each Other to Disney Duos
"Avengers" for life. #Stony forever.
Robert Downey Jr. recently custom-designed a Captain America Camaro for Chris Evans, and now he's sending his "Avengers" co-star Disney photos:
That's love.
Evans returned the love with his own Disney duo comparison:
Yes. To "Avengers: Infinity War" and beyond.
This isn't the first time they have tweeted memes to each other, and it probably won't be the last.
The true love story of the "Avengers" may not be Tony and Pepper, or Nat and Bruce, or Vision and Wanda, or even Cap and Bucky. (Sorry, Stucky.) It's these two. Chris and Robert. Steve and Tony. Captain America and Iron Man.
That "Civil War" was just a bromance quarrel.
"Avengers 4" still appears to be filming additional photography/reshoots, but it's not clear which stars have completed their scenes. Chris Evans, for one, has made it clear he's hanging up his suit as Captain America after "Avengers 4." It's possible some original Avengers have finished their scenes, forever.
So all of these tweets, and the car, may be nostalgic parting gifts. This won't be over for us until "Avengers 4" confirms whatever it confirms and sets up the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But many "Avengers" stars are basically entering "Game of Thrones" final season territory -- their part in the story is done, and now it's all over but the crying.
Post-"Avengers," Chris Evans has some films lined up, plus an upcoming Apple series. When RDJ isn't tweeting about Chris Evans, he's usually tweeting or Instagramming about Jude Law, preparing for their third "Sherlock Holmes" movie, which is scheduled for 2020.
"Avengers 4" is currently scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on May 3, 2019.
