Chris Evans Brings Back Old School Cap in 'Avengers 4' 'Senior Year' Photo
Chris Evans is ready to graduate from the MCU.
That's not breaking news, since it was already reported that the "Avengers 4" reshoots would most likely mark Evans' final time suiting up as Captain America.
But now it's really happening.
Marvel Studios is now filming additional photography/reshoots, and Evans' new photo shows he's returning to Cap's classic look. Gone is the rugged bearded Steve Rogers of "Avengers: Infinity War." Instead, he's back to the blond First Avenger.
Evans posted his "Senior year" photo along with dog Dodger:
[He looks better with the beard.]
"Avengers 4" set photos have heavily hinted to a time travel element, so maybe that's how we see Cap's old school look. Or it could be that after the snaps of "Infinity War," he feels like the world needs classic Cap again.
Fans are bracing themselves for tears, saying goodbye to Cap -- and possibly the other original Avengers. The synopsis for "Avengers 4" did mention "sacrifices," and ... well, just be prepared.
"Avengers 4" is scheduled to open in the U.S. on May 3, 2019, not quite two months after the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Captain Marvel."
