Tiffany Haddish Will Star in 'The LEGO Movie' Sequel -- And About 5 Other Movies
Get in line, Paul Thomas Anderson: In-demand comedian Tiffany Haddish just signed on to star in "The LEGO Movie" sequel.
Variety reports the the "Girls Trip" star will voice an as-yet-unannounced character in the sequel to the 2014 animated hit.
Mike Mitchell ("Trolls") will take over directing duties from Phil Lord and Chris Miller on the sequel, which is due in theaters February 8, 2019.
After her breakout role in "Girls Trip," Haddish has hosted "SNL," presented at the Oscars (where demands were made for her to team up with co-presenter Maya Rudolph to host next year) and was courted by such big names as "Phantom Thread" director P.T. Anderson.
She's also set to star opposite Melissa McCarthy in mob comedy "The Kitchen" and attached to star in the Universal comedy "The Temp," as well as another female-drive comedy called "Limited Partners."
But that's not all! She's also starring with The Last OG," signed on to Tyler Perry's "The List" and just wrapped "Night School" with Kevin Hart.
She's also got a book coming out in December ("The Last Black Unicorn") and just announced tour dates for her new stand-up set, "She Ready." Whew!
