Brie Larson Takes Flight in 'Captain Marvel' Set Photo
We have to wait more than a year to see the finished product, but a new set photo from "Captain Marvel" should excite MCU fans who are eager for a glimpse of new addition Brie Larson in action.
The Oscar-winning actress is playing the titular character, alias Carol Danvers, in the upcoming standalone, which is set to begin production in February. And Larson -- who's been excitedly tweeting about the flick ever since her casting was made official -- has proven that she's seriously dedicated to nailing the part.

In a photo shared on her Twitter page, the actress is outfitted in what appears to be a military grade jumpsuit, as well as a helmet and parachute gear. Larson captioned the snap, "Learning how to fly," which indicates that she's taking lessons in how to parachute (or pretend to parachute, anyway), and/or she's learning how to pilot a plane.
That tracks with her character's background as a United States Air Force pilot, who gains superhuman powers after coming into contact with an alien device. We appreciate that Larson is taking such an active role in production prep, and are looking forward to seeing all of her hard work pay off next year.
"Captain Marvel" is due in theaters on March 8, 2019.
