USA Networks Confirms Meghan Markle Is Leaving 'Suits': 'It Has Been a Joy'

There were rumors that Markle would leave the series, due to her relationship with Prince Harry. Yesterday, news of their engagement became official. Since she'll be living in the U.K., it seemed pretty clear she wouldn't also be flying back to tape "Suits." The USA Network made her departure official in a blog post, saying "the beloved 'Suits' star will depart from USA's legal drama at the end of season seven, which returns to the network in early 2018."
They also shared a statement from "Suits" co-producers USA Network and Universal Cable Productions:
"From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement. Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best."
After Markle's engagement was announced, her "Suits" costars shared their well-wishes, including Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross), who is also rumored to be leaving at the end of Season 7.
"Suits" Season 7 returns in early 2018. It's not clear yet if there will be a Season 8.
