Tom Felton Apologizes for His 'Harry Potter' Fans: 'I'm Sorry Girls Like Malfoy'
Curse you and your hotness, Tom Felton! "Harry Potter" bad boy Draco Malfoy still has plenty of fans out there, but that's a problem for both his creator, author J.K. Rowling, and the guy who played Draco in the movies, Tom Felton, and they both went on Twitter again today to try and remind people that Malfoy is kind of a jerk.
Every so often, Rowling disses her own creation, as she did back on Draco's 35th birthday in June, telling girls they are "misguided to fancy him." As she has put it in the past, "I'm trying to clearly distinguish between Tom Felton, who is a good looking young boy, and Draco, who, whatever he looks like, is not a nice man."
That subject came up again on August 21, when a fan sent actor Tom Felton a photo of a T-shirt reading "Draco Malfoy Is My Boyfriend." Tom responded with some deflection, and an apology to J.K. Rowling on his own character's popularity:
I'm not too sure Draco would be a good boyfriend. Ron however? (@jk_rowling I'm sorry girls like Malfoy) https://t.co/34xmJSqRY4

Ron isn't even a good back-up choice, considering some of his own actions. Go for Neville! Go for Neville every single time! Neville is the IDEAL boyfriend! Sorry. Anyway, Rowling also responded to Tom's tweet and it sounds like she really wishes he weren't so darn attractive:
I don't blame you, Tom. * * I do blame Tom. https://t.co/9cM0CaZpn4

Don't hate him because he's beautiful! Maybe the situation calls for a new Draco Malfoy standalone story -- complete with redemption arc -- which can then be adapted for the screen and played by Tom Felton. That way, maybe the girls who only liked him as a hot "bad boy" will wake from the love potion.
